Case History #4

The Client is an American multinational company listed on the NYSE with a turnover of about 3 billion dollars, specialized in security. The company is present in 120 countries worldwide with 8000 employees. In Italy it is present with a historical brand and market leader, Cisa, strongly linked to the territory, with many hundreds of employees. HQ decides to relocate part of the production. True, before the announcement of the trade unions, creates a narrow crisis committee with 3 top figures of the company, legal and communication consultants (True). A crisis manual with a detailed road map and simulations of possible scenarios was the helm of the actions towards the stakeholders (employees, trade unions, media, government, local associations, business community). A series of meetings and targeted interviews with the main local newspapers (to reassure Italian employees) and the two main national newspapers (one generalist – BTC – and one economic – BTB) have generated, among other actions, a more relaxed climate between all involved parties, acting positively on the reputation of the company and its management (and consequently of the shareholders)
